Whether you enjoy German song, dancing, language, history, culture or dress, or simply enjoy the nostalgia of Gemütlichkeit, the American Center for German Culture is there to help support those activities that preserve and promote German culture. |
Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2002 as a non-profit Ohio Corporation, and qualified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the American Center for German Culture through its charitable activities has quietly supported and co-sponsored Oktoberfest celebrations, Maifest celebrations, German language instruction, and numerous choral performances of German song by soloists and choruses in the Columbus area and in Germany. |

We are also pleased to announce that in 2011 the Ohio German Language School began operating as part of the American Center for German Culture. The school and these events are open to the public, and have been made possible by the generous support of our donors and the selfless fundraising efforts of the members and friends of German choruses and clubs. |

The American Center for German Culture is entering a new phase of activity intended to help preserve the heritage of German culture and history, particularly in Central Ohio.
A fundraising program is currently underway to assist in the development of a German Heritage Haus to serve as the future home of a German Heritage Museum, a cultural center and performance venue for German Village, and as a place for German language education, and as a home for German language singing societies, in particular, The Columbus Männerchor. |
